چکیده

Liquid carbon dioxide (L-CO2) phase-transition blasting technology (LCPTB) has caused wide concern in many fields, but there is a lack of research on the initiation fracturing pipe. Studies regarding pipe are critical for controlling and optimizing LCPTB. Therefore, this article, series exploratory experiments were carried out to investigate qualitative quantitative relationships between three key variables (the filling mass liquid (X1), amount chemical heating material (X2) thickness constant-stress shear plate (X3)). The failure mechanisms process was analyzed qualitatively based experiment temperature, strain curve form plate. An empirical model (Y) (X1, X2, X3) obtained after processing result data quantitatively. Based dioxide, two methods, Viral–Han–Long (VHL) equation gas state (EOS) strength-failure method used calculate pressure determine mode proposed can be optimize structural design pipes, guide on-site operations further achieve best effect LCPTB, so work enable LCPTB better applied practical projects.

Chapter 2.9.5 - Carbon Dioxide (Dry-Ice) Blasting

Dry-ice particle blasting is similar to sand blasting, plastic bead blasting, or soda blasting where a media is accelerated in a pressurized air stream (or other inert gas) to impact the surface to be cleaned or prepared. With dry-ice blasting, the media that impacts the surface is solid carbon dioxide (CO2) particles. One unique aspect of using dry-ice particles as a blast media is that the pa...

Dense Phase Carbon Dioxide Processing of Liquid Foods: a Review

Dense Phase Carbon Dioxide (DPCD) is a non-thermal process that pasteurizes mostly liquid foods. It inactivates vegetative bacterial cells, some spores, yeasts and molds, some viruses, and some enzymes. The traditional approach to develop a DPCD process for a new product involves a complex experimental plan to investigate microbial and safety effects. Recent studies show the importance of the s...

Stability of dense liquid carbon dioxide.

We present ab initio calculations of the phase diagram of liquid CO(2) and its melting curve over a wide range of pressure and temperature conditions, including those relevant to the Earth. Several distinct liquid phases are predicted up to 200 GPa and 10,000 K based on their structural and electronic characteristics. We provide evidence for a first-order liquid-liquid phase transition with a c...

Encapsulated liquid sorbents for carbon dioxide capture.

Drawbacks of current carbon dioxide capture methods include corrosivity, evaporative losses and fouling. Separating the capture solvent from infrastructure and effluent gases via microencapsulation provides possible solutions to these issues. Here we report carbon capture materials that may enable low-cost and energy-efficient capture of carbon dioxide from flue gas. Polymer microcapsules compo...
